My Experiences So Far Of The Unexplained

Location:United Kingdom
So I'll begin from when it started, at the age of around 3. I was an only child up until the age of 11 and quite enjoyed my own company, so I'd often play upstairs on the landing (as my bedroom then was very small) and my mum would find me talking, as she assumed, to myself. But the strange thing about it was that I was three years old and talking about things a 3 year old would probably not even think about let alone be able to say and answering questions to someone/thing. As my vocabulary improved as I got older, I would be sitting downstairs and I'd say "I'm going to talk to the lady on the landing now" and I'd go upstairs and talk to the wall. From then on, I would refer to her as the lady on the landing and continue to talk to her everyday. I then told my mum that she was a teacher who works there.
This seemed to be fairly friendly (but stern, I quite vividly remember liking her but also slightly scared of annoying her) anyway, this seemed to disappear and become forgotten about until I reached the age of about six. Although I never knew why but I could never walk down the stairs without having my back to the wall. I always felt as though something was there, as was the case when sitting on the toilet - this may have something to do with the bathroom and the stairs come off of the landing, and this seemed to be the place where I felt uneasy. There was also a light hanging from the ceiling there which never worked the whole time we lived there (10 years) even with a new bulb, an electrician came over several times and said there was no reason it shouldn't work.
Following on from this, at the age of 8 my grandfather became very ill with lung cancer and was hospitalised for a long time before he died, at the same time my dad came down with a really bad case of salmonella but didn't want to go to hospital because he didn't want to worry the family whilst my grandad was ill. So he stayed at home in my bedroom, and I shared my parents room with my mum. From the very first night I began sleeping in her room I woke up at exactly 3:32 am on a monday morning to a severe chill, I don't think I've ever felt that chilled to the bone in my life since, but I was aware of a presence on the landing.
I could also hear a heavy breathing, but I'm still not sure whether that was my dad, but it was the breathing that made me feel most uneasy so much so that I sat up in bed and was fixated by the bedroom door. As I stared at it a black figured appeared in the doorway, I tried to tell myself that it was a dressing gown hanging from the door, but as I looked I could see it separately to the things that were hanging, and it seemed as though it was levitating/floating, it was bobbing up and down lightly anyway.
As I got more scared I hid underneath my duvet and tried to be quiet as to not wake up my mum as she was fast asleep, but I felt the figure moving towards me. It walked across the room and around the bed and eventually, I felt it sitting on the bottom part of my legs. No matter how hard I tried I could not push against it. Eventually it stood up and remained next to my head. I felt as though it was staring at me. By this point I managed to free my body and because it was such a force I kicked my mum in her back really quite hard and she woke up. The very moment she woke up, rather than yelling at me for kicking her, she turned and said to me "is there someone in the room?" before I could answer, she felt my heart was pounding to the point where it was moving the bed slightly and instantly knew that there was "something" present, we both were too scared to get out of the duvet to see, but I briefly saw it at the door, and it had these bright orange circles for eyes. There were no features, not even an obvious body shape, just a long black figure (it was taller than the door)
Every sunday from then on, for the remainder of my stay in my parents bedroom, which I think was about 6 or 7 weeks, the same thing would happen every monday morning at the exact same time. Now, I do remember it happening in my own bedroom one time, but I was so scared that I really tried to block it out and I completely hid under my duvet, I didn't see it, I just knew it was there and I woke up in the night (which was very unusual for me then)
I don't know whether both of these experiences were related, but the house in general has many stories to be told by nearly every family member and friend of the family! People have heard crying in the house thinking it was my mum and gone up to console her and no ones been there. On one occasion my mum was putting on her make up in the bathroom whilst my dad dropped me at my grans as they were going out for the night, and my mum thought there was a burglar on the landing so she locked herself in the bathroom until my dad came home. Also a year or so after the bedroom experience I was sitting on my bed playing with a toy when I heard and saw the bathroom light switch on, and the cord for the switch was swinging and banging against the wall and I then heard like a shuffling of feet, kind of like when you have socks on a slippery or tiled floor and you drag your feet along, I screamed down to my mum and she ran up with a fire poker as she had also heard something else in the house.
After we moved from this house (pretty soon after all this, it got too much for me and my mum, so many more stories than I could write in here!) I didn't really feel like I had to always look behind me anymore, I felt fairly safe and nothing to this extent ever happened again.
But now, recently over the past year, I've started to feel like I'm being watched again and some strange things have been happening. I'm now I'm my final year at uni, and I have the typical body clock of a student, basically nocturnal, so I'm up at all hours and mostly when everyone else is asleep. But its been common for me to wake up at 3am again and go downstairs to get a drink. I only go into the kitchen and go straight back upstairs, I don't go anywhere near the lounge. We have a glass door between the hall and the lounge so I can see in there, on my way downstairs its always pitch black, but as I've been coming back through to go upstairs again, the tv has been on a black glowing screen for a few minutes and I stand and watch it, then it turns off again.
What I find most strange about it is that the tv makes a start up sound when it comes on, but when its been doing this, it doesn't make a sound at all. I have talked to people about it, and they've said its quite common for some tv's to do this for updates and things, but I don't go downstairs at exactly the same time and it is always only when I'm on my way back upstairs and its never happened to anyone else in the house, and sometimes its even the kitchen tv as well as the one in the lounge.
I've also started to have an experience with lights too, only when I'm alone... If I switch on the light in the kitchen, hallway or landing when I'm home alone, more often than not it blows the whole fuse for the lights, which I'm guessing is a pretty hard task to do?! No one else in the house has ever done this either, its only ever happened to me. I just generally feel uneasy again, and lots of little things keep happening that make me feel really uncomfortable.
Today, I guess that made me want to write this was I was sitting on the front door step smoking, when I had this overwhelming feeling take over me, I've never had anything like it and I don't really remember it, but I felt like everything was just terrible and if I continued to feel that way then I didn't want to live anymore (I'm not usually a thinker of such things, I'm usually quite happy!) and my body froze and I couldn't breathe and I suddenly just vomitted, I could see things in my mind that I remember were absolutely horrible, but I can't remember them now and I couldn't as soon as the feeling left me.
I don't know whether I'm thinking too in depth or irrationally about this now, but as I was writing this my younger brother came into my room and presented a selection of cards to me (he's always doing card tricks and magic, but usually with real cards, I've never seen these before) and asked me to pick a card, and then choose top or bottom, I said top, and he read out the words on the top of the card "You're in danger, excess and solitude"
Now I know this all sounds silly, but my 11 year old brother isn't usually one for having things like this and I've never seen him have anything similar. I'm beginning to really worry about all this now. I'm sorry I'm not the greatest story teller, there's an endless amount of experiences I could put in here, but I'd really like to know what other people think about this!

Rachel Roy Called Cops After Beyonce’s Beyhive Hacked Her Gmail, iCloud Accounts: Report

Rachel Roy called the police after BeyoncĂ©’s fans allegedly hacked her online accounts following the “Becky with the good hair” drama, according to a new report.
TMZ reported on Monday, August 1, that the fashion designer, 42, alerted the Los Angeles Police Department that her Gmail and iCloud accounts were hacked and her cell phone number was changed without her permission earlier this year.
In the court documents, she reportedly blames the incident on her now-deleted “Good hair don’t care” Instagram post, which the Beyhive pounced on in April after Queen Bey, 34, released her defiant breakup anthem, “Sorry,” from her Emmy-nominated visual album Lemonade.
In April, the “Hold Up” singer called out an adulterous lover’s mistress (who she referred to as “Becky”) in the controversial tune. Roy, who got her start in the fashion industry as Jay Z’s intern at Rocawear, later shared a cryptic Instagram post.
“Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. Live in the light #nodramaqueens,” she captioned a selfie just hours after the Lemonade film premiered on HBO. She later tweeted, “I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind.”

Islam is not terrorism – Pope Francis

Pope Francis has said that Islam can not be equated with terrorism and warned that Europe was pushing its young into the hands of extremists.
“It’s not true and it’s not correct (to say) Islam is terrorism,” he told journalists on Sunday aboard the papal plane during the return journey from a trip to Poland.
“I don’t think it is right to equate Islam with violence”.
Francis defended his decision not to name Islam when condemning the brutal jihadist murder of a Catholic priest in France in the latest of a string of recent attacks in Europe claimed by the Islamic State group.
“In almost every religion there is always a small group of fundamentalists. We have them too.”
“If I have to talk about Islamic violence I have to talk about Christian violence. Every day in the newspapers I see violence in Italy, someone kills his girlfriend, another kills his mother-in-law, and these are baptised Catholics.”
The pontiff was speaking after Muslims attended Catholic mass in churches around France on Sunday in solidarity and sorrow following the murder of the priest, whose throat was slit at the altar of his church.
In an echo of remarks made during his five-day trip to Poland for a Catholic youth festival, Francis said religion was not the driving force behind the violence.
“You can kill with the tongue as well as the knife,” he said, in an apparent reference to a rise in populist parties fuelling racism and xenophobia.
He said Europe should look closer to home, saying “terrorism… grows where the God of money is put first” and “where there are no other options”.
“How many of our European young have we left empty of ideals, with no work, so they turn to drugs, to alcohol, and sign up with fundamentalist groups?” he asked.

Sales girl engages police officer in fight, tears uniform in Abuja

A Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, on Monday granted a 23-year-old sales girl, Ekaete Nwen, bail in the sum of N50, 000 for allegedly tearing a police officer’s uniform.
The presiding officer, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, ordered the defendant to produce one reliable surety who must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
Kagarko adjourned the case till Sept. 28 for hearing.
Nwen of Gwarinpa village, Abuja, is standing trial on a two-count charge of assault and obstructing a public servant to discharge his function.
Prosecutor Adeniyi Oyeyemi said that Esther Christopher of Nyanya Barracks, Abuja, reported the matter at the FCT Command, Abuja, on Jan. 10, 2013.
He said that the defendant and her mother, Mfan went to the complainant’s shop and collected food items worth N300, 000 from the complainant with a promise to pay her back.
Oyeyemi added that the defendant promised to pay the complainant as soon as they sell their food at their own shop.
“The complainant went to the police station on July 25 to remind the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Bala Yusuf, of the matter.
“The IPO went to the defendant’s shop with the complainant and asked the defendant to follow him to the station, which she refused to do.
“The defendant ran into a toilet and on her way out of the toilet, the IPO stopped her, then she tore his shirt and fought him.’’
He said the offence contravened sections 265 and 148 of the Penal Code.
Nwen pleaded not guilty to the offence when it was read to her. (NAN)

Melania Trump’s Nude Modeling Pictures Surface: ‘Nothing to Be Embarrassed About,’ Says Donald Trump Adviser

Your next first lady? Melania Trump posed nude in a photo spread for a French adult magazine in 1995, and now, more than two decades later, the revealing shots have resurfaced in the New York Post.
The newspaper published several rare pics of the Slovenian native, now 46, on Sunday, July 31, that show her wearing nothing but high heels at age 25 during a photo shoot in Manhattan with French photographer AlĂ© de Basseville. The headline on the shocking front page of the Post reads: “The Ogle Office.”

The images were originally published in the January 1996 issue of Max, a now-defunct men’s magazine, but have not surfaced online until now.
“I was quite surprised when I saw the pictures because it was … a racier shoot than I expected,” an unidentified fashion industry insider who was at the 1995 photo shoot told the Post on Sunday. “But Melania seemed very comfortable with the whole thing, and she was very professional.”
The pictures were taken almost a decade before she married Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in Palm Beach, Florida, in January 2005.
Donald, 70, told the Post on Sunday, “Melania was one of the most successful models and she did many photo shoots, including for covers and major magazines. This was a picture taken for a European magazine prior to my knowing Melania. In Europe, pictures like this are very fashionable and common.”
The businessman’s campaign senior communications adviser, Jason Miller, later defended the publication of the photos during an interview on CNN’s Reliable Sources on Sunday.
“They’re a celebration of the human body as art,” Miller said. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. She’s a beautiful woman.”
Earlier this month, Melania made headlines when she gave a speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention that contained an entire paragraph that was nearly identical to one in Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention address. Two days later, Trump staff writer Meredith McIver took responsibility and apologized for “including some of [Michelle’s] phrasing.”

Miss Teen USA Karlie Hay Will Keep Her Crown Despite Racist, N-Word Tweets

Newly crowned Miss Teen USA Karlie Hay is under fire over four racist tweets that she posted back in 2013 and 2014. The past comments surfaced just hours after the Texas native was crowned the winner at the Miss Teen USA pageant in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 30.
Screenshots of Hay's remarks, which included the n-word, began circulating online on Sunday night. She promptly posted an apology on her Instagram account.
As she posted " Several years ago, I had many personal struggles and found myself in a place that is not representative of who I am as a person. I admit that I have used language publicly in the past which I am not proud of and that there is no excuse for. Through hard work, education and thanks in large part to the sisterhood that I have come to know through pageants, I am proud to say that I am today a better person. I am honored to hold this title and I will use this platform to promote the values of The Miss Universe Organization, and my own, that recognize the confidence, beauty and perseverance of all women."She added: "I am honored to hold this title and I will use this platform to promote the values of the Miss Universe Organization, and my own, that recognize the confidence, beauty and perseverance of all women."
Despite the controversy, Hay will not have to hand over her crown. The Miss Universe Organization released a statement on Sunday about the incident.
"The language Karlie Hay used is unacceptable at any age and in no way reflects the values of the Miss Universe Organization," the statement read, via CNN. "As Karlie stated, she was in a different place in her life and made a serious mistake she regrets and for which she sincerely apologizes. Karlie learned many lessons through those personal struggles that reshaped her life and values. We as an organization are committed to supporting her continued growth."
