26-year-old man allegedly kills his 20-year-old wife during a fight, throws her corpse away

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Mathew Oguntade, for allegedly killing his wife, Mary Oguntade, during a fight at their house at Owode-Ijako, in Ado Odo/Ota LGA of the state, reports Punchng.
The incident happened on Friday, January 13, 2017, at about midnight. The husband reportedly strangled his wife to death and threw her body outside through their window, and ran away. He was later apprehended and taken into custody.

Indian girl born with a giant tongue that nearly suffocated her, undergoes life-saving operation

Aparajit Lodhi was born with a rare congenital anomaly called Macroglossia – a medical term for an unusually large tongue. She underwent surgery at just four-days-old to reduce the size of her tongue.
Her tongue was so big doctors were unsure if she would survive and advised her parents she might not live very long. But mother, Mini Lodhi, 28, was determined to save her baby.
Aparajit was kept alive using a breathing apparatus. Dr Agarwal, head of pediatric and newborn surgery at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital, where the operation took place, said: “She was not able to swallow anything because of this giant tongue.
Not only after birth, but the baby was not able to swallow anything because of this condition in the womb also. After the operation, she was able to swallow for the first time ever. It was a big tumour in the tongue and it took two hours for the team of doctors to remove the growth."

Kidnapper killed while trying to abduct the wife of an Ondo King

A member of a kidnap gang was shot dead by police detectives in Ondo State after Grace Faduyile, wife of Oba Gabriel Babatunde Faduyile, the traditional ruler of Ikoya in Okitipupa area of the state, was abducted yesterday afternoon.
The state Police Command spokesman, Femi Joseph, told newsmen: “Immediately the command received the information about the monarch’s wife’s abduction, a team of policemen went after the kidnappers in conjunction with the local hunters.
The hoodlums later abandoned the victims and ran into the bush. But the combined team went after them and there was an exchange of fire which led to the death of one of them. The others escaped with bullet injuries."
He added that the victim was rescued unhurt, while the policemen and the hunters were still searching for the fleeing members of the kidnap gang.

29-year-old married driver arrested for raping a 14-yr-old virgin, says the devil manipulated him

Isiaka Mustapha, is undergoing interrogation at the Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Oyo State Police Command, for the alleged defilement of a 14-year-old girl, Halimat, at Aremo area of Ibadan, reports Tribune.
On January, 6, 2017, while pretending that he wanted to buy oranges from the teenager, Mustapha reportedly lured her into his room.
As the girl waited for Mustapha to pay for the oranges he bought, he reportedly pounced on and forced himself into her. He was said to have broken her hymen, as she was still a virgin, resulting in bleeding.
The victim, while narrating her experience, said that she struggled with the suspect and screamed for help but nobody came to her rescue. She said she had to tell her mother when she got back home following profuse bleeding.
Mustapha admitted committing the offence but said it was an evil spirit that manipulated him. According to him, “I didn’t know the spirit that entered into me.
When I forced my manhood into her, she screamed in pain and I withdrew immediately. I regretted my action when I saw her bleeding and started asking for forgiveness from God. I also pleaded with her to forgive me."

Man caught with human head in Oyo State

Saheed Musiliu, was caught with the head of a corpse he exhumed at the back of Basic Community Primary School in Olomi area of Ibadan, Oyo State, over the weekend.
When interrogated by the police, Musiliu confessed to have exhumed a corpse and cut its head, saying it was meant for sale to those who intended to carry out money ritual. He also disclosed that he had sold two human parts to those who needed them in the past. Crdt: Tribune

Man arrested for chopping off his neighbour’s hand for causing trouble

A tailor, Samson Onome, has been arrested for allegedly chopping off his neighbour, Wale Badejo's left hand and inflicting injuries on his head at Ilasan Housing Estate, Ajah, Lagos State, reports Punchng.
It was learnt that Badejo was at a lotto centre, last Wednesday, when an argument ensued between him and some gamblers. The argument degenerated and Badejo reportedly destroyed some items in the lotto shop.
After failed attempts to prevail on him to stop the trouble, a resident was said to have invited Onome, a tailor, to confront Badejo. On getting to the shop, Onome reportedly confronted Badejo, resulting in a fight during which both men exchanged blows.
A resident, who identified himself as Emmanuel, said Onome later fled from the scene, but Badejo gave him a chase. At a point, Samson ran into his room and Wale followed him.
Wale barged into Samson’s room with a bottle. Samson also brought out a cutlass, hacked him on the head and chopped off his left hand.
