Disneyland’s 13-storey Tower of Terror ride will be closed to make way for Guardians of the Galaxy experience

Haunted elevator' ride at California theme park will be replaced with superhero attraction DISNEYLAND’s famous Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride is set to close – to make way for a new attraction based on Marvel superheroes.

Thrillseekers have until January 2 to make their final 13-storey plunge on the “haunted elevators” inside the Hollywood Tower Hotel.


The iconic building at the California theme park will be turned into a new attraction celebrating the Guardians of the Galaxyfilm franchise.

The tower will become the Collector’s Museum from which the Guardians, and visitors, must try to break out.

The new Disney attraction, expected to open next summer, will feature a free-fall sensation and various visual and audio effects.
