Super Eagles need $270,000 to Qualify For 2018 World Cup

The NFF has said it needs approximately $270,000 to be able to qualify the Super Eagles for the 2018 World Cup. This is because it cannot afford to send its players to Zambia for the qualifying match that is slated for the 9th of October 2016. This has been attributed to the oil price crash that has now triggered a recession in the country and is appealing to well-meaning Nigerians to please provide sponsorship.
The Super Eagles led by Mikel obi have already had their bonuses suspended for about 6 months now, says it can’t afford to fly its players to Zambia for the next month’s 3rd round qualifier and according to an unnamed  member of the NFF “as we speak,we don’t have any kobo in our purse” he also added that they were appealing to telecom giant GLOBACOM for aid and that they needed airline charge are said to cost between $200,000 for a 140 seater plane that would be on ground for two days, they also need around $6000-10,000 for flight tickets to bring the players from their respective clubs in Europe.
For reaching bronze medal in the Olympics,a super eagles superfan  was prompted to donate $390 ,000 as charity
