'Because of you I was able to reach this moment in my career... I love you!' Rihanna pays tribute to beau Drake in touching post as she gushes about his VMAs speech

Days after Drake declared his enduring love for her in a heartwarming speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, Rihanna is sharing a few touching words of her own.

On Friday, the Bajan beauty took to Instagram to upload a video of her speech while accepting the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at Sunday's VMAs.

And while she thanked 'family, friends, loved ones' - as well as her fans and team - the 28-year-old singer also made a point of letting Drake know she loves him.

Sharing a video of he acceptance speech during Sunday night's ceremony at New York City's Madison Square Garden, Rihanna typed out a length caption.

'#VMA2016 night was one that I would never forget!!,' Rihanna started the post. 'I have the most incredible people in my life!

'My family, friends, loved ones, my fans, my team!!! All gifted beautiful spirits! And I'm so grateful that God has precisely and flawlessly arranged our paths to meet at each other! It's because of you that I was able to reach this moment in my career!

'And it's also because of you that I was able to pull off a night like this one, with 4 medley performances, 4 set productions, 4 outfits, 4 hair and makeup looks, and all in 4 days of rehearsal!

'It was a challenge but I wanted nothing more than to give my fans a true representation of all the colors that I'm made of as an artist!

'My journey has been filled with growth and people who continue to inspire me! Forever grateful to everyone involved creatively, from choreography all the way to wardrobe and production! @MTV team you were a dream to work with!' 

She then went on to thank supermodel Naomi Campbell, singer Mary J Blige and actress Tracee Ellis Ross before praising her boyfriend's presentation speech.

Rihanna wrote: 'Thank you to the beautiful @iamnaomicampbell @therealmaryjblige @traceeellisross for your kind words! @champagnepapi your speech was so touching and I love you for that!

'All in all....Best night ever!!! I'm a lucky girl!!! To God be the Glory! #RiRiVanguard.' 

On Wednesday night, Drake surprised fans during the Miami date of his Summer Sixteen tour by bringing Rihanna out on stage, and the crowd went even more crazy as the couple shared an intimate smooch.

Rihanna strutted onto the stage at Miami's AmericanAirlines Arena to perform with her beau.

Fans captured the moment on camera as the star, looking gorgeous in a little black dress, headed over to Drake, wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the lips before walking away with a smile on her face. 

The kiss follows the rather disappointing smooch on Sunday night when Drake leaned in to kiss Rihanna after presenting the singer with her VMA, only for her to turn her head.

The party-loving pair were in the mood to celebrate after Drake's second Miami gig, heading to E11even Nightclub in the city. 

Rihanna was still wearing the sexy LBD she rocked on stage, showing some skin in the strappy number. 

She teamed the dress with lace-up heels and scraped her locks back into an effortless up do while finishing her look with glam makeup.
