A “MONSTER” mum kept a vulnerable woman as a modern-day slave while living a champagne lifestyle, a court heard.
Bully Mandy Leacock, 36, poured bleach on her victim, made her sleep on the floor and threw her outside naked in the cold.
She also beat her around the head with a frying pan, gave her so
little food she scavenged from a bin and confiscated her credit cards,
Southwark Crown Court was told.
During the 36-year-old woman’s 14-month ordeal, Leacock posted
photos of herself enjoying a £400-a-night stay at London’s five-star
Langham Hotel.
One showed a sumptuous meal on a room service trolley with bubbly on ice and a glass with a cherry in it.
At earlier hearings, courts heard the victim, who had learning
difficulties, came to London to answer a dating advert by a man Leacock
knew.
When that relationship soured she moved into Leacock’s flat where she
was kept a virtual prisoner until a child saw her sifting through a bin
and eating a bread stick she found.
Prosecutor Edward Aydin called Leacock a “shameless monster”.
The mum of two, of Maida Vale, West London, admitted assault and will be sentenced later.
