Photos: Bauchi State Police arrests 96 criminals, rescues 28 hostages, recovers arms, stolen vehicles and animals

Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, Halilu A. Gwandu, during a maiden conference last month, reiterated his resolve to drastically bring down the soaring spate of kidnapping, armed robbery, armed banditry, rape, culpable homicide, cattle rustling and other violent crimes through robust synergy with other security agencies, Vigilante Groups and eminent persons in the State.Immediately after that interactive session, the Command with support of the State Government, security agencies, Vigilante Groups and local hunters carried out series and sustained operations in black spots, criminal hideouts and revered kidnappers camps in Dass, Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro and Alkaleri Local Government Areas in the State. Snap operations were equally carried after coordinated technical intelligence, in notorious criminal strongholds in Toro, Ganjuwa and Ningi Local Government Areas of the State.




According to a statement issued by the Command on Thursday, September 7th, remarkable successes were recorded as follows:
RECOVERED ARMS AND AMMUNITION:
One (01) AK 47 rifle with breach no 1985PD72 42
Three (03) Fabricated Guns
One (01) Single Barrelled Gun
One (01) locally made pistol
One (01) empty AK 47 magazine
One (01) 7.62mm long ammunition
Four (04) Cartridges
Eleven (11) Cutlasses
Three (03) Bows and Arrows in Quiver.
RECOVERED VEHICLES/MOTORCYCLES:
One Mercedes Benz M320, Grey in Colour with Registration number MSA 01 PD
One Honda Accord 2005 model dark Ash in colour with chassis No 1HGCM568X6A807710
One Toyota Corolla 2002 model light grey in colour

One Yoshi Motorcycle
