Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived Algeria on a two-day official visit to Algeria, on the invitation of the government.
Osinbajo's spokesman Laolu Akande said in a statement last night that his boss would hold talks with Algerian President Abdellaziz Bouteflika and interact with the country's parliamentarians.
Akande stated that the visit would deepen diplomatic and economic relations between Nigeria and Algeria as well as review specific areas of security co-operation.
He said both countries would harmonise their positions on multi-lateral issues of common interests and share ideas on how to address global challenges, especially those confronting Africa.
Akande added that the vice president would also visit a food processing plant in Algeria and meet representatives of the Nigerian community there.
