Tricycle rider and trader arrested with N575m worth of heroin at Lagos airport

One of the suspected traffickers was caught on arrival from Kigali, Rwanda while the other was nabbed on arrival from Nairobi, Kenya. The drug valued at N575million was said to be hidden in their luggage.
The suspects are Egwin Cajetan Chinedu, 32 who was caught with 3.900kg of heroin and King Sunday, 38 who was in possession of 2.490kg of heroin. Chinedu arrived from Kigali, Rwanda while Sunday arrived from Nairobi, Kenya.
Chinedu, who is not married, told investigators that he needed money to repair his tricycle, while Sunday said he left his wife after four days of marriage to go for a business trip in order to raise money for his honeymoon and business.
