Two fraudsters bag 110 years in jail

Justice J. K. Omotosho of Federal High Court Kano, today November 24, 2016 convicted and sentenced the duo of Emmanuel Moyi and Victor Ali Ishaya to 60 years and 50 years imprisonment respectively, on six count charges of offences bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretence.
The convicts journey to prison started when EFCC recieved a petition from victims alleging that the convicts obtained several sums of money from them under the guise that they were going to give them employment and contract.
The convicts were arraigned on 16th may, 2016 and they pleaded guilty to all the charge read against them. In his Judgement, Justice Omotosho convicted and sentenced Moyi to 10 years imprisonment with an option of N100,000 fine, on each of the 6 count charges.
The second convict was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with an option of N100,000 fine on each of the 5 count charges. The sentences are to run concurrently.
