Former Minister of Environment and her husband, freed after paying ransom

According to Saharareporters, Laurentia Mallam and her husband, Pius Mallam, who were kidnapped by armed persons on Monday night in Kaduna State, have been freed by their captors after the family reportedly paid an undisclosed sum for ransom. The kidnappers had initially demanded a ransom of N10m.
