Gunmen attack Ekiti police Station, kill inspector, loot armoury
There was pandemonium on Friday night at Ido-Ekiti, Ido-Osi LGA of Ekiti State, when some suspected gunmen numbering 40, invaded the Divisional Police Headquaters and killed a police inspector on duty during the attack.
The armoury of the police station was emptied, while the roof top was blown off with the aid of dynamite. A detective attached to the station, said: “They drove in recklessly and took over the entire police station. Some even scaled the fence and took strategic positions.
