On Monday, Adeyemi Adekunle was arrested by the police in Lagos, for allegedly brutalizing his 8-year-old son who was declared missing. Adekunle was said to have caused the child serious fracture on both hands and locked him up alongside 3 of his siblings.
The boy was declared missing on Saturday by the police, but he was found on Monday morning and returned to his father. Angered that the child wandered away, Adekunle, who has since been separated from the kids’ mother, vented his frustration on them.
Adekunle’s landlord who disliked the treatment of the children by their father and step-mother, reported to the police. Adekunle said the man has been looking for a way to send the children out since his separation from their mother. Detectives promptly stormed the compound and confirmed what the landlord said, necessitating his arrest. Crdt: The Nation
