80-year-old killed in suspected double suicide named as Jean Calvert as husband Brendan, 87, is arrested

AN 80-year-old woman who was found dead in a suspected double suicide attempt has been named as Jean Constant.
Her husband Brendan Constant, 87, has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the shock death.
Police were called to a social housing complex in Eynesbury, St Neots, after receiving “serious concern” for the couples safety just after 5pm yesterday.
Upon arrival they found Jean dead inside the house in the quiet Cambridgeshire complex and Brendan injured.
The 87-year-old was taken to Addensbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and is in a stable condition.
Local witness Richard Cviklovic says he is terrified to hear of the shocking news.
He said: “We were terrified. We didn’t know what was going on.
“This is a very quiet area, very nice area.
“It was just very shocking to us, to see all these police cars and after we read on the internet what happened, it was even more shocking.”
