A BOY of 13 who was killed when a £1.2million Ferrari F50 crashed through a fence has been named as Alexander Worth.
The schoolboy was a passenger in the 200mph supercar, which was driven by pal Matt Cobden.Alexander’s mum tried in vain to revive her on after Monday’s crash on an access road next to a farm shop and a number of car and garages in North Warnborough, Hants.
Driver Mr Cobden, who was taken to hospital, is not related to the youngster, police confirmed.
He took the boy out for a spin after the lad asked if he could sit in the rare Ferrari F50, according to a friend of the youngster’s mum.
The 200mph car reportedly crashed through a fence and into a field less than a minute after it left the garage
Matt, 37, was looking after one of only 349 Ferrari F50s ever made ahead of an auction, where the red 200mph supercar was set to sell for in excess of £1.2m.
Alexander, from the Winchester area, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Writing on a specialist car forum, web user MOTK said: “It was my friend’s son.
Matt Cobden has been named locally as the driver of the £1.2 million supercar which careered of the road in a Hampshire village
“As far as I know at the moment, the mother and child were waiting at a car dealership where their friend was delivering some batteries.
