Taraji P Henson has teamed up with MAC and the make-up collection is going to be fierce

US ACTRESS Taraji P Henson has joined the high profile rank of celebrities to collaborate with make-up giants MAC Cosmetics after announcing her upcoming collection on social media.

The Empire star, who set to return to screens in her role as music matriarch Cookie Lyon, has promised that THE MAC Taraji collection will contain products to re-create her signature look.

Henson follows in the recent trend of a black celebrities - including singer Kelly Rowland and American Horror Story actress Angela Bassett - using their influence to tap into the beauty market and offer more inclusive options.

The six-piece make-up collection will include a black eyeliner, mascara, two shades of Mineralize Skinfinish powder, a face brush, and a lipstick called Strip Me Down ranging from £13 - £32.

“Taraji P. Henson has won the world over with her fearless performances, powerhouse confidence and charismatic spark,” the company said of the Golden Globe-winning actress.

MAC x Taraji P Henson officially arrives online September 6 and hits stores September 8 - just days before the star celebrates her 46th birthday (September 11) .
