My brother, Jeremy,
used to live in a house near the center of my hometown, which is quite
small. He lived there with a roommate, who we all called Goat because he
would eat anything. Jeremy and his baby mamma (now his wife as of a
year ago) weren't together at this point; she was living with her family
and did not live in the house with Jeremy and Goat. My nephew JJ would
stay every other week with my brother.
The house was very small. I think it's important to note that I never spent any extended time there, and don't know the layout very well. But there was one bedroom there that made me (and my dad and Jeremy) very uncomfortable. Goat lived in this bedroom. He never said anything good or bad about it. My brother started having small experiences around the house, I don't know the specifics of it, but it was things like objects being in different places than where you left them and just little things. Well, then my nephew started saying weird things, keep in mind he was quite young, 2 or 3 years old. He would say things about a man in the house. This happened multiple times. Again, I don't know exactly what was said but I know it was unusual things for a 2 or 3 year old to be saying. Things that sometimes coincided with the experiences my brother was having.
It's also important to note at this point that there is a headstone of a 2 year old girl behind my brother's house. It's Fanny M. Clifton, and the death date is from the 1800s. The Clifton family is documented in another graveyard near the house, just a minute or two drive really; it's a private graveyard for a husband (a Mr. Clifton) wife and their two beloved mules. Other than that I don't know anything about the Clifton family.
About half a year before my brother moved out of the house, he was dating this girl he had met while he was in the National Guard. He met her at training before he was sent to basic. He was giving her a tour of the house and then came to Goats room. The girl freaked out saying she could NOT go in that room, saying that something evil was in that bedroom. She then told him she was a medium, and hadn't wanted to tell him before. She told him not to let my nephew sleep in that bedroom or play in the yard by the headstone. And especially not to let my nephew lay down in the grass near that headstone; otherwise very bad things would happen to him.
She continued saying that there was an old woman who was protecting my brother and my nephew and that she would sit on my brother's bed at night stroking my brother's legs until he fell asleep. Jeremy then pulled out a photo of him and our great grandma with her sisters. All are dead now. Jeremy did not tell her who was who. But the girl pointed out one of the aunts. The girl proceeded to say, your aunt wants you to know she is protecting you and that she thinks you need to redecorate and clean up. As they walked past the bathroom into the living room my brother's towel fell on the floor. Jeremy is VERY particular about his towels, he hangs them straight and even so that they dry and don't get wrinkly. This incident bothered my brother very much.
A few days later, my brother brought the photo over to my dad's house and told him the story. My dad proceeded to tell Jeremy and me that the particular Aunt, when Jeremy would visit her, would always rub his legs while they were sitting on the couch until Jeremy fell asleep. Jeremy did not know this story beforehand, so the girl he was dating wouldn't have known before she told Jeremy. (This was enough proof for me; I was terrified and never went back to Jeremy's house) Dad also mentioned that one night while staying over at Jeremy's (sleeping in the evil bedroom) he'd felt really uncomfortable and watched the whole night.
My brother got married to his son's mother a year ago and moved out of the house into one that isn't haunted. Nothing has happened since.
