My Dad Saw his Death

I personally haven't experienced any such presence but one incident happened with my dad during his last days.

My dad was chronically ill since past few years and had become really critical, so much that the doctors had sent him home and told us that he wouldn't survive for long. We were waiting for a miracle to happen or rather trying to make a miracle happen by spending all our energies in his nursing and most of the money in his medication. My dad was inflicted with TB because of which his lungs had become immensely weak. It was so difficult for him to breathe that he could hardly utter two words at a time.

One evening he started behaving very awkwardly. He refused to eat his dinner without which we could not give him his medication. We persisted and he refused. He said its going to be his last night. My mother got paranoid and called up my uncle who immediately rushed to our home. He told us that your father has seen blood in his spittle, so he's just scared. Just keep telling him everything will be okay and try and feed him.

But he was adamant. He wouldn't eat. After few hours of nagging, we gave up and resorted to praying that he survives through the night. Suddenly he started chanting "Om Namah Sivay" breathlessly. We were shocked to see how can a person who was hardly able to talk suddenly started chanting with so much vigour. We got scared that he might lose his breath, so we insisted that he stopped.

He did not. Not for a second in the entire night. The whole night I sat there looking at him constantly chanting with a scared look on his face. He didn't sleep, nor did any of us. He stopped only when he fell asleep at around 6 O'Clock.

When he woke up, he told us something that shook us from within. He said he was to die the night before. He was feeling that the forces were pulling him but he stole some more from God and that's why he didn't stop the chanting.

I'm not an atheist, but I wouldn't have believed in this incident had it been told to me by someone else. I do not know whether it was actually some supernatural or godly power that made him do so or was he just scared and gathered the energy from this fear, but I did thank God that day and still do for giving  me few more days with my father.
