The only true ghost story I know of is the one that happened to me...
I was laying in bed one night, there was an incredible breeze rustling the palm trees outside my room. At first, I noticed that as cars approached the house along the road in front of my house, their engine sound disappeared just before it should have passed by. The engine noise would then come back to an audible sound as it was further up the road. Now, I didn't have much time to really considered what was happening, and still don't really know what the car noises meant but. Suddenly the wind hit the doors hard that lead to the outdoor patio and lounge room connecting my room.
What I can only describe as footsteps then proceeded from the outside doorway across the lounge room floor, up the internal stairway, back down the stairs way, across the lounge room floor once more, and into my room. The footsteps were fast paced, faster then a human could travel. While it was still 'running' through my room it reached the opposite corner to the door and my clothes that hung on a rack rustled noticeably (no windows or doors were open on the lower level). Within moments of it entering, the footsteps proceeded out of my room, back across the lounge, up and down the stairway in similar fashion, and back into to my room. Now, by this stage I was frozen, completely bewildered. But, I was not afraid. As the footsteps re-entered my bedroom (my door was open this whole time) the footsteps approached the side of my bed upon which I laid. I could sense an entity above me, and as I thought of it being non-existent, a breath of air flowed onto my cheek as if from nostrils.
Still frozen, and unsure what to do, I rolled over onto my side. Then, the wind outside lessened and I felt the presence leave my side. I knew I was safe. But, still completely overwhelmed. This was my first, and only personal experience with 'ghosts' in a physical sense. Adding to this story, my house mates also experienced events which may be related to my own. For instance, upstairs on one occasion a male room mate awoken to a ghostly female figure in the corner of his room, it approached him and as it made contact he fell back asleep. My female house mate also awoken on 2 occasions, once to a body pressing her own down hard into the bed, and other time to a demon like faun that made a musical clicking sound as it stared at her from the edge of her bed. Unlike their stories, I was wide awake before my experience, and had not yet fallen asleep that night. But, I have no reason to doubt my female housemates tale due to expertise in lucid dreaming and awareness of her reality. Thank you for reading.
