I've seen ghost since I was a small child.
Some people say it's a place that's haunted, and that may be true, but I
also believe ghost or spirits can follow people. For the most part, my
ghost have always been friendly, I've only had one or two that gave me a
feeling of uneasiness. When I was growing up as a girl, we had a ghost
that lived in the house, we called her "Mary-Jane." Mary-Jane would move
bowls across the counter, slam doors, walk down the hallway. These
strange occurrences never scared me because they started occurring
before I was even around. I've had one speak my name as I was standing
at the kitchen sink, washing dishes. I was home alone. Since I've grown
up and moved out of my childhood home, I've had other experiences that
were paranormal in nature. I had the ghost of a little boy come and
visit me three times. On the second visit, he woke me in the middle of
the night, (he did this two out of three of the visits), but when I
tried to speak to him, he just disappeared. The third time he came, he
ran into my bedroom late in the evening as my husband was walking down
the hall, but when he rounded the corner and ran toward me, he vanished.
The women on my father's side of the family have almost all seen
spirits over their lives, my sisters included. My youngest son also used
to see them when he was a very young boy, but he seems to have grown
out of the innocence that keeps your eyes opened to such things. I find,
that is very normal. Many children are able to see the dead, but as
they grow up, they start to reason away that ability. Some of us, the
lucky few, get to keep it.
