I will tell you a story which my
grandfather told my mom which she passed onto me, though I asked my
grandfather whether it was true or not, he said it was.
When my grandfather was a young man living in India he moved out of his families house so that he could make it on his own as a independent man. He went to a city called "Ludhiana" it is a industrial city even to this day, but track back 50 -70 years not much was there.
My grandfather needed a place to stay while he worked in the city, however, he could not find any houses available close to his job. Instead looking around for something close by he decided to look for a property situated away from the city center and he finally found one in a small village. He asked the villagers if anyone live in this little hut, they explained how the owners moved out long ago and that the house was said to be haunted.
My grandfather didn't care, he was a religious man and put his faith in God and what was meant to be was meant to be, he took the house for himself. Now there was nothing in this house, no stove, fridge, etc, so my grandfather would eat before he would get back home after work. After a month or two, every time my grandfather came back home there would be cooked food waiting for him. He would find this strange, he thought someone in the village (roughly 30 -70 people) was making him food since they knew his position.
He asked around the village to figure out who was cooking the food and so that he could thank them and repay them back. However, every person he went to looked dumbfounded and just told him that A) It wasn't them or B) They saw no one walk into the house to place the food. My grandfather was confused and just wondered who it could be.
He told me that he would hear someone calling his name his name at night while he would be sleeping, he would shrug it off, thinking that the silence in the village would be driving him crazy. Sometimes he would feel someones hand on his head but no one was there! Anyways, a friend of his decided to come and stay with him since he also found a job in the city, my grandfather was excited and so was his friend but this changed quickly.
At night, my grandfathers friend would complain that someone kept whispering and laughing and when he would look around no one could be seen. He would also state how he would feel someone yanking on his hair in a rough manner, he had enough and he left. Soon after my grandfather left as well, because things were getting crazy.
To this day he had no idea who would prepare the food every evening for him after work or what the hell was up with that hut.
